Richard Levin, Senior Consultant

Richard is a senior consultant and executive coach for Cambria with over 25 years of coaching experience. His clients have included senior executives in telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, food services, public utilities, financial services, aviation, and retail. He has advised numerous family-owned businesses, law firms, political leaders, and accounting firms. Richard has also worked extensively with the entertainment industry, coaching and advising producers, directors, television and film stars, writers, and network executives, and has been a strategic business advisor to The Groundlings School and Theater in Los Angeles. Richard’s particular interests are executive presence, communication strategies, work/life balance, personal branding, and social media. Currently, he is working on a healthcare and technology initiative that better connects physicians, pharmacists, patients, and caregivers.

Richard plays a leading role in educating business leaders about coaching. Among his myriad activities in the media, he writes a newspaper column, “As We Live and Work” (published in the Boston Business Journal and syndicated nationally), is a commentator on the Nightly Business Report (broadcast on PBS television, the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service, and the WorldNet Satellite Network), and is co-author of Shared Purpose: Working Together to Build Strong Families and High Performance Companies. In addition, Richard has written several publications on flexible benefits, work/life stress, and family businesses. His article, The Family Circle: Psychological Issues and the Family Business, was republished in the book The Best of Behavioral Science. He also edits a leadership blog and provides coaching on social and broadcast media. Richard is a well-regarded speaker; among his many presentations, he is invited each year to speak at an international gathering of the aviation industry. Richard has been interviewed by a number of media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Fortune, Money Magazine, Bloomberg Business Radio, Entrepreneur, The Associated Press, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, and NPR.

Richard received his bachelors and masters degrees in psychology and social services from Brandeis University, and his doctorate in psychology and education from Boston University.
