Career Development
For a Canadian bank, Cambria developed a series of job models as the foundation of an organization-wide staffing process. Cambria and the bank worked together to develop job models for key positions in the Individual Bank (retail), the Commercial and Investment Bank, and the Administrative Bank. Within the Individual Bank, positions profiled included Teller, Customer Service Representative, Lending Officer, and Branch Manager. The process allowed the bank to define knowledge, skill and personal attribute requirements for a wide variety of jobs, assess potential internal and external candidates against these requirements, and determine appropriate job/person matches throughout the bank. It was used as the foundation for training and development, performance management, and career development, in addition to its original application to external hiring and internal staffing.
