Cambria Releases Interactive Strategic Communication Platform

BOSTON, Mass. (September 29, 2005) – Cambria Consulting, a leader in state-of-the-art human resource and learning applications, announces the development by its Cambria Interactive division of an interactive web-based strategy communication tool, designed to help organizations communicate new business strategy, receive feedback on and gain support for the new strategy, and communicate key messages from the organization’s senior management.

The first deployment of this application was for the National Education Association (NEA). It was unveiled to over 10,000 delegates at NEA’s Annual Meeting and Representative Assembly in Los Angeles in July of this year. The NEA, which represents approximately three million educators, holds an annual convention to vote on all major NEA initiatives for the coming fiscal year. NEA used Cambria Interactive’s Strategic Communication Application to communicate and receive feedback on its top six initiatives.

The entire program – from initial specifications to launch – was completed within an incredibly tight two-month time frame. The deployment of the application was in a kiosk environment at the convention. Participants launched the application by swiping a magnetic card containing their personal contact information. For each of the six initiatives, Cambria Interactive developed a unique Flash movie that communicated the key aspects of the initiative in an engaging rich media format. For each initiative, we incorporated five interactive action items enabling participants to support the initiative by taking specific actions, such as pledging to sign up new members signing up for an e-newsletter, or taking a survey. An on-demand reporting utility instantly provided data on participant support for each initiative, and participants’ actions were recorded in a database such that the NEA could follow up with each member.

The Cambria Interactive Strategic Communication Application is a templated approach in which different graphic and text pieces can be developed and assembled on the fly based on the requirements of the client’s targeted delivery system. Cambria Interactive’s application combines Macromedia Flash™ and Microsoft .Net™ technology that can be deployed in many types of situations – especially those where major communications from senior leadership is involved.
