As a retired Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of a publicly traded company and a long serving Director of several public companies and not-for profit boards, Dona brings practical hands-on experience in strategy, leadership, talent development, succession planning and organizational capacity building. Dona’s experience as an executive, board member and executive coach has added value across several sectors, including financial, insurance, retail, franchising and manufacturing.
During her 30-year business career, Dona was also engaged in several significant transactions including mergers, acquisitions and spin-offs. She keenly understands the complexities and significant issues related to change management impacting leaders and organizations during integration planning.
Dona is also recognized for her experience in board governance. She currently serves as the Lead Independent Director of a large retail company, is an independent director of a global financial services company headquartered in Europe, and is the Audit Committee Chair of Save the Children. She was designated as a NACD Leadership Fellow and serves on the faculty of the NACD Director Professionalism Course, speaking on Board/C-suite relationships. She holds a BA and MA in Political Science from Drew University, Madison, NJ, and a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
